Galway Downs Temecula Wedding
When I first started chatting with KayLynn about her Temecula wedding at Galway Downs, I was instantly pumped. First, because KayLynn and Sean were definitely going to party on their wedding day. Key ingredient for kick-ass camera moments. Second, Galway Downs is a cool venue with a totally different style than all the Temecula wine country wedding venues. I’m not talking shit about wine country weddings. Just saying, it helps to shoot somewhere with a different vibe every now and then. But let me stop talking about wedding venues and get back to Sean and KayLynn’s wedding.
Sean started the day off getting ready and drinking some good old fashioned whiskey. This said to the world: “I’m a gentleman, but I also like to party.” KayLynn opted for the classic glass of champagne with her bridesmaids. After the bride and groom finished getting ready, we set up a quick first look. First looks are a great way to squeeze in photos before the ceremony. Total time-saver, especially on days where coverage is short (check out this article on the benefits of doing a first look). After the first look we knocked out the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and wedding party shots. Boom. Efficiency, baby.
You know what? Why am I wasting my time breaking down how the entire day went? I’m basically giving away everything. How about you just scroll down and check out the wedding photos from KayLynn and Sean’s wedding at Galway Downs instead? I think that sounds like a much better plan. Cheers!

Booking Questions Brides Actually Ask About Galway Downs
I get asked about this stuff constantly, so let’s actually cover it. Galway Downs now operates as part of Wedgewood Weddings, which changes how booking and pricing works here.
How Much Does It Actually Cost?
Honest answer: there’s no single flat number, and that’s by design. Wedgewood prices things in layers. You pick a package level (Build Your Own, Classic, Premier, or Elite) and multiply by your guest count. Add a ceremony and venue fee that shifts by season and day, then admin fees and tax.
Sounds complicated written out. In practice it just means your quote gets built around your actual guest list and date, not a generic sticker price. You’ll get real numbers during a venue tour. They’ll hand you a ballpark PDF too if you want a rough idea first.
How Many Guests Can You Invite?
Up to 300, which is a lot of room. Just as important: Galway Downs only books one wedding per day. You’re never sharing the property or fighting for photo time with another couple. Your wedding party also gets two separate, spacious get-ready suites. Nobody’s squeezed into a tiny room fighting for mirror space.

What You Actually Get For Your Money
The packages are genuinely all-inclusive, not just a venue rental with everything else billed separately. Depending on your tier, you’re looking at planning help, a DJ and MC, invitations, centerpieces, and food and bar service, all bundled together. No sourcing ten different vendors yourself. On the ceremony side, you’ve got several outdoor spots across the property: a meadow under mature trees, a spot by the pond, even a natural amphitheater with tiered grass seating. The reception happens in the Carriage House, a modernized barn with garage doors that open straight out to the grounds, plus a double-sided stone fireplace for when the desert night cools off.

Thank you again to Sean and KayLynn for allowing me to photograph such an awesome day at Galway Downs. Cheers to you both.
